Our Wedding Story

When my wife and I got engaged, we were so happy and excited to be starting a new journey together. Then the stress and overwhelm of wedding planning hit us hard and we were swept up in the whirlwind of booking vendors, making big decisions, navigating expectations and frustrations, all while trying to remain connected and authentic to our relationship throughout the process.

For our wedding to be authentically ours, we had to have hard and important conversations about how to represent our differences and similarities in who we are as individuals and as a couple. Being an interracial, queer couple with very different backgrounds and cultures, we knew it was important to weave these intersections together in the creation of our wedding.

We thought about what was most important to us and how our values could inform the decisions we made. Breaking outside of the traditional wedding mold was something we explored and could have even explored more probably. But we made our wedding our own by deciding whether or not a certain wedding tradition made sense to us, and how we could change it to make it feel authentic to our relationship.

Were there some bumps and roadblocks along the way? Absolutely (which was not fun or easy), but at the end of the day, we could look back and say we did the damn thing, and it was 100% us!

What is the difference between a Wedding Planner and a Wedding Coach?

Wedding Planners make sure the details of your wedding run smoothly and provide day-of coordination (highly recommend), whereas a Wedding Coach is there to help you get clear on what kind of wedding you want and helps you navigate the emotional roadblocks that many couples face when planning a wedding.
What is the Difference between Wedding Coaching and Premarital Coaching?

Wedding coaching is support under the umbrella of the wedding planning process and all you are navigating together during this time. Premarital Coaching is focused on support for your relationship specifically and anything you would like to focus on and strengthen before marriage.
Do we have to reside in CO to work with you?

The amazing thing about Coaching is that we can have sessions virtually! I can support you no matter where you are residing in the world! Yay technology!
Officiating Services are local to Colorado, so if you are planning a Colorado elopement, I am your girl! I am also available for travel and destination weddings…Let’s talk about it!
Do we get to know you before you officiate our wedding?

100% YES! This is so important to us and is at the core of our Officiating packages. We are not strangers meeting you at the altar. Instead, we have time together to build trust, a connection, and a bond. We love our Nea lyWeds so much!
Is Wedding Coaching for both people in the relationship?

100% Yes! I believe in the importance of working with you as a couple through the wedding creation journey. While one person may be into planning more than the other, your wedding is about your love and your relationship as equal partners. I am here to help you connect and get on the same page when you need it!
